projects

Heart Sounds International sends teams to do projects that are Christ-centered and part of a credible local ministry, encouraging the development of worship through audio and/or video, most often where the cultural, political, or economic climate limits the mission of the local Christian church. Projects are predominantly in the non-Western world.

We place a high value on partnership when we participate in a project. Commitment and leadership from nationals is vital in working together effectively.

the process

When inviting HSI to partner in a project, the process involves the following steps:
Application —> Decision —> Planning —> On-location Implementation —> Post-location Implementation —> Follow-up & Reporting.

1. application

The first part of the application process involves submitting a “Preliminary Proposal” which will give a general overview of the strategy and plan for the project.request. (Click "INVITE HSI" on the left menu to fill in the Preliminary Proposal.)

1

2. decision

HSI reviews each Preliminary Proposal application. If the application is accepted, further details will be requested to assist both HSI and you in preparing for the project. If HSI is unable to fulfill your request, we will try to link the request with other ministries who may be able to help.

2

3. planning

When the decision is made to take on a project, HSI will commence planning with our host team to prepare the logistical details for the project and the visit of the HSI team.

3

4. on-location implementation

Once all the planning is in place, the HSI team will work with the host team to implement the project on location. Typically an HSI team of two to six people will be on location for seven to ten days. The number of people and the length of time may vary.

4

5. post-location implementation

Following the on-location work, audio and video projects are finished in the studios of the HSI team members. Completed masters are sent back to the host team for final approval. Audio and video duplication and distribution is generally handled by the national believers with whom we have partnered.

5

6. follow-up and reporting

Our desire is to continue in the partnership long after the HSI team has left. We desire to learn from every project and request updates to review the effectiveness of our projects.

key personnel

Once HSI has committed to a project, we will request the appointment of a local coordinator or coordinating team to oversee location logistics, recording, and other preparations.
